Cornwall
has so much to see from the local beaches to the wild
Moors. There is something for everybody wanting to visit
the area.
The legendary King Arthur was supposed to have had his
Camelot at Tintagel
(about 15 miles away). Just up from Tintagel is
Boscastle
which had been in the news with severe flooding in 2004;
it has been completely revamped now, and is a pretty
coastal village.
Of course one of the most famous places to go to in
Cornwall is the Eden Project
which is fantastic; it is about 35 miles away from our
B&B.
If you want to visit grand houses, then the nearest
is Lawrence House,
given to the National Trust to help preserve the Georgian
character of Castle Street in
Launceston.
But there are many others all within reasonable driving
distances, please ask us for information.
If Wildlife is your scene then our nearest place is
The Tamar Otter Sanctuary
about 1 ½ miles from the Old Station. But there are
many other wildlife places to go to see Owls, Seals,
Donkeys, and Monkeys etc.
Our B&B is situated between two of the most beautiful
Moors, the Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor.
So if you enjoy walking these are the places to go.
Bodmin Moor
is a short drive away and is designated an area of outstanding
natural beauty.
Dartmoor
has spectacular, wide open moorland to more secluded
and sheltered tree-lined river valleys.
Cornwall is truly a wonderful place to visit with so
much to offer for everybody
